Problem: For years, the marketing department at Northeastern has been trying to establish a digital design system. Between tight deadlines and a small web team, working on the DS has always taken a back seat. As a result, the University digital ecosystem has been inconsistent and provided a poor user experience. It has also created extra work for the designers and developers throughout the digital design process.
Solution: Although still a work in progress, the design and development team has established the basis for a flexible design system with Figma components and a Wordpress framework.
